Maybe I don't have to tell you; surviving the death of your child leaves you walking the invisible line between life and death. You can never feel fully comfortable/complete/happy...in this world again because part of you is reaching for someone in the next, or perhaps the relief of nothingness.
It feels bleak.
It feels lonely.
It feels exquisitely, unsurvivably painful.
The Beekeeper's Well is a resource to support bereaved parents as they learn to integrate this grief (because it will NEVER go away) into the necessary task of surviving each day while feeling desperate heartache. We are also passionate about building up and compassionately educating others who support and care for bereaved families.
The Beekeeper's Well is in the process of obtaining non-profit status, and gathering resources, networking, and building a unique community for bereaved parents and siblings and those who come alongside those families throughout their grieving. Our plans include support groups, workshops, therapeutic retreats, peer-to-peer counseling and support, and more! Importantly, one of our biggest goals is destigmatizing grief by being raw and honest about the lives of parents surviving child death.
